Spring has arrived, and with it comes a fresh, vibrant menu at STEM Japanese Restaurant, where traditional meets innovation. We are thrilled to introduce an array of new dishes and some exciting updates to our offerings that promise to elevate your dining experience.

A Taste of Spring with Obanzai Small Plates

Begin your evening with our delightful Obanzai small plates – a traditional style of Japanese cuisine that focuses on simple, flavorful dishes made with seasonal ingredients. This season, choose from over ten meticulously crafted starter plates, each prepared nightly by our skilled chefs. You can now select four of your favorite dishes for just $26, or enjoy individual dishes for $7 each. It’s the perfect way to sample the diverse flavors of STEM’s talented team!

Temaki and Fresh Seafood Delights

Our large selection of Temaki (hand cones) continues to impress with combinations like Snow Crab Avocado with Kanimiso Mayo and the zesty Squid, Mentaiko, and Cucumber. Leveraging our direct access to Toyosu Market in Tokyo, our nigiri and sashimi dishes showcase the freshest fish, prepared with the artistry and precision that our guests expect.

Chef Tatsuya’s Mini Omakase

Experience the magic of the STEM Team’s culinary expertise with two Omakase options. Chef Tatusya’s New Mini Omakase—a 6-course dinner ($88/person) is available without a reservation from Tuesday to Thursday before 8pm. It’s an exquisite journey through tastes and techniques, perfect for both omakase beginners and connoisseurs. We continue to offer the Omakase Sushi Kappo Course ($120 per person), as featured in an exclusive article, “It’s Up to You” in Vancouver Magazine last December.

Enhanced Beverage Pairings

Enhance your meal with our expanded selection of beverages. From carefully curated sake to international wines and innovative cocktails and beers, there’s a perfect pairing for every dish. We are also proud to now offer Champagne, selected to complement our starters beautifully.

Expanded Takeout Options

For those on the move or preferring to enjoy our cuisine at home, our expanded takeout menu now includes a variety of donburi (rice bowls) such as Wagyu Minced Katsu Don, Maguro Neba-Neba Don, and Beef Yakiniku Don.
