Big Cheers for Our Silver Win at the 35th Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards!

We’ve got some awesome news to share! STEM Japanese Eatery just snagged a Silver in the Casual Japanese category at this year’s 35th Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. We’re honoured to be awarded this win and we owe it all to the hard work of our team and suppliers, and the amazing support of our customers.

A big thanks to each of you who’ve dined with us, recommended us, and just dropped in to say hello. We love being a part of your everyday.

Shoutout to our fellow Casual Japanese spots too. This is the first year that Vancouver Magazine created Casual and Upscale categories for Japanese food. It shows just how far Japanese cuisine has come in Vancouver, and have to give credit to all my friends in the industry doing amazing things in their restaurants! We should be proud of the diversity and selection of Japanese restaurants in our beautiful city. Competing with you guys keeps us on our toes and makes sure we’re always bringing our A-game.

And of course, a huge thank you to Vancouver Magazine and all the judges who’ve been backing us up and supporting the local food scene for 35 years now. You guys rock for shining the spotlight on local restaurants like ours and keeping the foodie culture thriving in Vancouver.

Looking back, we’ve had a pretty rad journey at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards:

  • 34th Awards: Bronze in Best Japanese
  • 33rd Awards: Silver in Best Japanese
  • 32nd Awards: Silver for Best Sushi Takeout (COVID year)
  • 31st Awards: Gold for Best Japanese
  • 30th Awards: Gold for Best New Restaurant

Every nod we’ve gotten from the awards has pushed us to do better, and this year’s Silver is making us want to go for gold next time!

So here’s to more delicious adventures at STEM. We can’t wait to see you all back soon for some good eats and great times. Let’s keep celebrating the simple joy of good food together.

Thanks a million for being on this journey with us.

Cheers,
Your friends at STEM Japanese Eatery
