Eight Years of Gratitude
A Special Anniversary Omakase at STEM
As we approach our 8th anniversary on December 15, we are filled with deep gratitude for the community that has supported STEM Japanese Eatery from our very first service. To mark this milestone, we are hosting a one-night celebration on Monday, December 8: a six-course anniversary omakase with curated sake pairings from regions across Japan.
Reservations will be accepted by phone only, and due to the limited nature of this event, the full dinner cost will apply in the case of cancellation.
Chef Tatsuya has created a menu that reflects the beauty of early winter. Each ingredient has been selected at its peak, including:
-
Hokkaido kanburi, arriving weekly at a remarkable 15kg size
-
Fresh shirako from Hokkaido, served at its most delicate and creamy winter stage
-
Italian Burgundy truffle, prized for its rich, nutty, and earthy character with hazelnut notes — a late-fall delicacy
-
Limited female snow crab with roe, offered for just two weeks
Our six-course omakase is normally offered at $140 on its own, but for this anniversary evening, we are extending a special price of $160 (+tax & gratuities), which includes both the full omakase and every sake pairing. This offering is our way of expressing appreciation and sharing something truly exceptional with the people who have supported us over the years.
Each pairing features premium sake selected from some of the finest labels brought in by our import partners, chosen specifically to complement the progression of the menu. Throughout the evening, our visiting sake specialist from Sakegami Corp will provide thoughtful narration and education on each sake, offering insight into the breweries, regions, and characteristics behind every pour.
The experience begins with our appetizer course, served with a sparkling sake from Shichiken in Yamanashi, crafted under the guidance of world-renowned French chef Alain Ducasse— beautifully accompanying seafood dishes. Subsequent pairings highlight the diversity of Japanese sake, from delicate and aromatic to rich and expressive.
Reservations will be accepted by phone only, and due to the limited nature of this event, the full dinner cost will apply in the case of cancellation.
Thank you for allowing us to cook for you over these past eight years. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this memorable evening together.
